Now I lay me down to sleep
I say this every night
But Mommy says if I stop now
I won’t grow up right

I try to do the things I should
And my dolly tries hard too
But in the end it always seems
My efforts just won’t do

Someday I’ll be a real big girl
And a little girl I’ll keep
I’ll kneel with her and pray these words
